Anyone who has spent anytime in eastern Idaho during the winter might be able to sympathize with our current plight. It started snowing sometime before Chistmas and has just continued to pile up. We currently have over 3 feet snow in or backyard! The city of Idaho Falls rarely plows the roads, on occasion they will drop some dirt/rock mixture in the intersections. We live on a dead-end street which means not much traffic and absolutely no plows. As a result the snow is pretty thick on our road. In fact, a couple days ago Tiff got the van stuck while trying to get the mail. Ryan was not happy, he could not understand why she didn't walk herself out to the mail instead of trying to get it from the van. After 20 long minutes the van was free and peace and happines were restored. Of course Tiff blames it on the fact that Ryan has completely boycotted shoveling. He started out strong, but in the past week or so has followed suit of our fearless leaders and is now letting it accumulate at will.
After recently watching the Fast and the Furious 3 Tokoyo Drift Ryan is completely obsessed with drifting. Nothing is cooler than drifting in a minivan. The other day while in the Wal-Mart parking lot he decided to show off his new "talent". With a van full of groceries and small children he proceeded to accelerate, cranking the wheel to avoid light poles, he jerked the E-brake sending the van into a 360. The sheet of ice under the van caused it to then slide out of control for another 30 yards or so. The kids thought it was great an begged to do it again. As the only responsible adult in the van, Tiff insisted there would be no more. Yet, she has a sneaking suspicsion he practices when she's not looking.
As you might be aware, Jaxon's birthday is on Tuesday. We are excited to finally have a 4-year- old in 6-year-old clothing instead of a 3-year-old in 6-year-old clothing. We'll see how long that lasts. As I'm typing this he is dancing around he house with oven mitts on his feet. Don't ask, we don't know.
Ryan was happy to be able to attend Kamron's parent teacher confrence last week. All is well, her teacher repeated over an over again what a good girl she is and how much she enjoys her. Hey, we can't all be funny. Someone's got to have some sense around here.
Calista is as cute as ever, her favorite toy is a Dora doll that she packs all over the house. Unfortunately Dora has 5 different buttons, making her the least favorite toy of the rest of us. But, with any luck we may have a bi-lingual child, too.

Ryan and Tiffanie,
We loved the blog!! Ryan, you should write on the side. It is so funny!! Keep it coming. We don't want to miss anything that goes on in your life and this is sure a good way to keep it touch!!
Love, Dad and Mom
Okay, I'm commenting on your last two postings. Let me just say that if you ever get tired of Jaxon, I'll take him. My boys think he is the funniest kid, as do Dave and I. He would go nicely in our chaotic and entertaining abode.
I'm glad you guys had a fun time in St. George. We hope that you'll able to dig out from the drifts sooner than later.
Love ya,
LeAnne
Oh yes. You have to LOVE Idaho in the winter. It's like they say, "good luck!" when they throw down that red rock in front of all the stop signs! I sould send Kenny up to help you out. He is obsessed w/ shoveling EVERY bit of concrete around our house (extra driveway, basketball court, sidewalk behind the house, and the patio slab in back) every time it snows. If we had that much snow he might rethink that though. Ryan isn't well know for wise driving decisions so I'm not surprised, and of course it was Walmart parking lot! Good to know that Jaxon won't be burning his feet anytime soon!
Love ya,
Michele
Hey!
This is Dave and Jacque Rupp. We can empathize with your weather. I drive to Idaho Falls a couple days a week, building a Taco Time. Ryan, I ran into your parents at a wedding and found out you were moving there. They gave me your number. Next time I'm in Idaho I'll call you. I think our Taco Time is just up the road from you. Hope you are doing well.
Dave Rupp (but Jacque is the blogger)
